【Introduction】
Mycoplasma canis (MC) infects many mammalian hosts but is usually thought of as a commensal or opportunistic cofactor in respiratory or urogenital tract diseases of dogs. It is also a common organism implicated in canine kennel cough or infectious tracheobronchitis.
Chlamydia psittaci (CHP), also known as Chlamydophila psittaci, can affect most categories of birds, livestock, companion animals, and humans. Dogs can be infected by contacting with infected dried bird poo or bird carcasses. Clinical signs of dog infection include swollen, red and watery eyes with a yellow or green discharge, pawing at their eyes due to itchiness or discomfort, panting more than usual with less energy etc.
Canine Distemper is a highly contagious disease caused by a paramyxovirus, Canine distemper virus (CDV). It is a widespread disease affecting wild and domestic carnivores. Clinical signs include discharge from the eyes and nose, dyspnea (difficulty breathing), coughing, and pneumonia. Fever, anorexia and respiratory tract issues are most common.
【Intended Use】
This product is used to qualitatively detect the nucleic acid of MC, CHP, and CDV in swab samples collected from the nasopharynx, oropharynx, or conjunctiva of symptomatic dog. Gene from the host cell DNA is used as an internal control (IC).
【Specification】
• Packing: 1 Test/Pack, 4 Packs/Box
• Specimen: Nasopharyngeal swabs (NP), Oropharyngeal swabs (OP) or Conjunctival swabs
• Test Time: From sample preparation to final result < 1.5 hour.
