【Introduction】
Toxoplasmosis is a serious zoonotic disease caused by infection with Toxoplasma gondii, which poses a serious threat to human and animal health. Felines are the definitive hosts of Toxoplasma gondii. Infection in cats can cause anorexia, drowsiness, high fever, dyspnea, and sometimes vomiting, diarrhea, and other symptoms. In pregnant cats, it can cause abortion, stillbirth and other symptoms. Infection occurs mainly through contact with feces or contaminated water, soil, or food from infected animals.
Leptospirosis is a zoonotic infectious disease caused by bacteria of the genus Leptospira. Infection in pets can cause symptoms such as acute renal failure, jaundice, bloody stools, and loss of appetite. It is mainly transmitted through contact with contaminated water, soil, or food with the blood, urine, or other excreta of infected animals.
【Intended Use】
This product is used to qualitatively detect the nucleic acid of Toxoplasma gondii (Toxo) and Leptospira spp. (Lep) in blood samples. Gene from the host cell DNA is used as an internal control (IC).
