【Introduction】
Feline panleukopenia, caused by feline parvovirus (FPV), is a highly contagious, acute enteric disease of young cats, often accompanied by severe leukopenia and high morbidity and mortality.
FPV is shed from all body secretions during active disease but is most consistently found in feces. Transmission is from contact with infected animals, contaminated environment, or fomites. Typical symptoms of FPV infection in cats include fever, depression/lethargy, complete anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea (sometimes hemorrhagic), and severe dehydration.
【Intended Use】
This product is used to qualitatively detect the nucleic acid of FPV in rectal/fecal swabs. Gene from the host cell DNA is used as an internal control (IC).
