【Introduction】
Mycoplasma felis (MycFe) is a small gram-negative bacterium that can be transmitted directly from infected cats to in-contacts by aerosol. M. felis is typically associated with upper respiratory tract disease but sometimes may be associated with lower respiratory tract infections.
Signs of M. felis infection include clear or colored discharge from the eyes or nose, coughing, sneezing, conjunctivitis, with swelling of the conjunctival mucous membranes (chemosis), lethargy, anorexia, tachypnoea or dyspnoea, nasal discharge and pyrexia in the lower respiratory tract.
【Intended Use】
This product is used to qualitatively detect the nucleic acid of M. felis in swab samples collected from the nasopharynx, oropharynx, or conjunctiva of symptomatic cats. Gene from the host cell DNA is used as an internal control (IC).
