The Center has established long-term strategic cooperation with the National Engineering Research Center for Human Stem Cells. In response to the urgent need for rapid improvement in the development of infectious diseases and tumors, it has built a series of internationally leading research and development platforms to break through key common technologies in the industry and develop and apply them to infectious diseases The gene diagnostic reagents and mobile diagnostic equipment for tumors meet the needs of improving industrial innovation ability, promoting the development of medical science and technology, and promoting the popularization of gene diagnostic technology for the benefit of the people.

In March 2016, the National Demonstration Center for the Application of Gene Detection Technology jointly established by research and application institutions of gene detection technology was officially approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and became one of the first demonstration centers for the application of gene detection technology in China. The center is a strategic project of the "New Health Technology Benefiting People Project" launched by the National Development and Reform Commission. From 2015 to 2017, 30 demonstration centers for the application of gene testing technology will be built nationwide to promote the application of advanced health technology in the prevention and treatment of birth defects, genetic diseases, tumors, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, infectious diseases and other major diseases, and promote the popularization of new health technology to benefit people.
